Public pharmacies ensure the proper supply of the population with pharmaceuticals at a low threshold. Only pharmacists and pharmaceutical technical assistants (PTAs in Germany) are allowed to dispense medications and are subject to a duty of consultation according to the ApoBetrO (Pharmacy Operations Regulation).

Individual pharmacy employees have further specialized in areas that correspond to the principles of functional medicine. Below, you will find public pharmacies (i.e., community pharmacies) where employees are engaged in areas such as micronutrient therapy or gut consulting, having furthered their education and specialized in these fields.

Typically, (short) consultations occur during regular pharmacy visitation. Some pharmacies also offer services such as vitamin D testing or microbiome analysis. Please understand that specialized staff may not be present throughout all opening hours. The consultation does not replace medical treatment and does not allow for diagnosis.
